So you got 10k subscribers to send newsletters, product updates and customer education content. But, what’s next?
It’s easy to fall into the trap of sending weekly updates and bore your customers. Many business folks commit the mistake of repeating same content without adding new points in the mix.
Reusing existing content is fine, but as long it’s is packaged differently. If you’re looking for interesting ways to add variety to your messages, then these 3 points helps.
Change your message tone
When you’re hosting an event or launching a new service/product or promoting an offer, it’s recommended to inform your subscribers as three-message series. For instance, you can break it as
- Informational – Time of the event
- Official release rate – Data of release
- Time till the offer – Till what date offer lasts
Sending informational mails in three levels, brings in different tone to the message and subscribers tends to receive it
Include educational content
Customers take time to read sales-oriented messages with information that explicitly benefits subscribers: articles, blog posts, white papers, videos, webinars and podcasts.
Promote up-sell offers
Promote other services to your subscribers by suggesting relevant services to subscribers. Make use of automated messaging to trigger relevant offers based user behavior or clicks. For the less initiated, offer free trial, or discount.
