8 ways to get a Better Understanding of Customers


 Almost all database marketing programs are intended to target communication directly to your target customers. But only few know why customer keeps coming back. Is it the price factor, quality of your application, delivery, and response? 

Unless you understand the behavior of your customer you cannot plan a customer retention or acquisition strategy. By bringing this information together in a single database, you can get a comprehensive view of individual customers and customer groups and assess the effect of different marketing activities on their purchasing behavior.

·         Which industry/market sectors do customers and prospects fit into?
·         How many are in each sector?
·         What are the most popular products/service?
·         What other products/service can you cross-sell to these sectors?
·         Which sectors offer the best growth opportunities?
·         Which are the most profitable/valuable sectors?
·         Who are the key customers in each sector?
·         How profitable are the key customers?
